Valentine’s Day Gifts for Car Lovers

The Big Day of Romance

Car lovers can be difficult to shop for on Valentine’s Day; however, we’ve provided a list of gift ideas to consider. While some people might be able to afford a new supercar (every car lover’s dream), some are just looking for accessories or even road trips. Read on to learn more about Valentine’s Day gifts for car lovers.

According to Autobytel, you should think about getting a car wash kit if your significant other already has a car they love. This includes a sponge, chamois cloth, premium wax, tire cleaner, detailer, and high-quality wash. You can also splurge for aluminum and chrome metal polish, perfect for making any car shine like new.

Next, consider a headlight restoration kit for older vehicles. Does your valentine’s car have yellow headlights? They might need a special kit to bring it back to the original condition. Such kits usually include abrasive materials, including multiple grades of sandpaper, cotton, and more. They also come with special compounds to restore lights to their original look.

Finally, if your valentine has a clunker, you might consider a diagnostic scan tool. Some car lovers enjoy owning a jalopy because it gives them a chance to do some work. However, fixing complex problems can be difficult if you’re not a technician. Consider an app or code reader (usually under $100) for Valentine’s Day.

Did this help you find a gift for your significant other? Tell all of us at Cambridge Classic Ford in Cambridge, OH about it in the comments below!

The Best Christmas Movies For a Magical Season

Best Christmas Movies

Though there is much to disagree on when it comes to the holiday season, there’s one thing that can bring anyone together – a love of holiday films. In fact, AMC recently conducted a poll of the best Christmas movies. Thousands weighed in, and we have to agree with the results. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas! – The oldest movie on our list, this classic animated film first debuted in 1996 and has been airing year after year since, making it a true holiday staple.
  • A Christmas Story – We’re also a huge fan of 1983’s A Christmas Story, which – although it is family-friendly – has a bit more adult humor and is ideal to play in the background at any Christmas party.
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas – Similarly, 1993’s semi-spooky The Nightmare Before Christmas can light up television screens guilt-free, from October through December 25th.
  • The Santa Clause – One of our other favorites is 1994’s The Santa Clause, in which Tim Allen quickly finds himself in charge of Santa’s entire Christmas ordeal, beard and all.
  • Elf – Lastly, the newest film on our list is 2003’s Elf, which quickly became loved by both young and old. Who can deny Will Ferrell’s elven charm, especially when accompanied by the adorable Zooey Deschanel?

So what was AMC’s number one Christmas film? It was the 1990 classic, Home Alone.

What’s your favorite holiday movie? Come let us know at Cambridge Classic Ford!

Shelby GT350R-C Race Car Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Win again for the Shelby GT350R-C

Win again for the Shelby GT350R-C

Ford has roots in American motorsports, and with vehicles like the Mustang under its brand, it’s no wonder the company’s reputation has pervaded across modern race tracks to this day. Ford’s Shelby GT350R-C race car recently picked up its third win in a row this past August, thanks to co-drivers Billy Johnson and Scott Maxwell. The win was expected; though it’s the Shelby’s third win, this marks the fourth time the co-driver team has taken the winner’s title together.

Initially, it looked as if the Shelby GT350R-C had fallen behind and would have to settle for second place. However, tides turned during a heart-stopping final lap in which the leader ran out of fuel and Johnson, hot on his trail, pulled ahead for the win.

Johnson went on to praise his vehicle after the race, stating, “The Ford Shelby GT350R-C is just a fantastic car. I love driving it. Both Scott and I worked on the development on the street and race car and we’re both very privileged to be racing it.”

One of the Shelby GT350R-C race car’s key points was its long-lasting fuel tank. Johnson confessed he became nervous as other contenders began to run out of fuel on the track and had to stop, but the Shelby persevered and earned him his first career win on Road America.
