Local fairs are some of the best events during the summer and fall due to their popularity. The Guernsey County Fair is coming up soon and here’s everything you need to know!

This year’s fair has its share of events, ranging from a tractor pull to professional wrestling matches. Taking place from September 12th to the 17th, this year’s Guernsey County Fair promises to be a memorable one.

For those who want to push their limits, check out the NTPA truck and tractor pull as well as the open truck and tractor pull. Even if you don’t want to compete, watching the competitors is just as much fun.

Those who want a laid back competition can enter or watch the cornhole tournament. Meanwhile, those with a need for destruction can check out the Smash It Demo Derby and OCW Professional Wrestling.

That’s not even the half of it! This year’s fair will features rides and more events than we have space to list. Stop by for some good, old fashioned fun!

Even if none of those spectacular events are enough to draw your interest, at least stop by for some famous fair food.

Fun in the ‘50s Friday

We’ve all heard of ‘Way-back Wednesday’ and ‘Throwback Thursday’. Well today is ‘Fun in the ‘50s Friday’ at Cambridge Classic Ford. Today seems like a good time to reminisce about the good ‘ole days. To really take some time to concentrate on something positive that reminds us of a great moment in history.

Back in 1959, the Ford motor company celebrated a huge milestone in automotive history. That was the year Ford produced its 50-millionth vehicle. This milestone car was the 1959 Ford Galaxie.

The Galaxie was a 2-door convertible-coupe with a spark-ignition, 4-stroke engine. Ford rushed to make changes to the 1959 Galaxie because a new Chevrolet was come out soon. With a bigger, brighter, blockier look, the 1959 Galaxie beat out its competition to end up winning a Gold Medal for exceptional styling at the 1959 Brussels World Fair.

Not only was Ford’s 50-millionth vehicle off the line a 1959 Galaxie, but it was also an award winning model. Sadly, the Galaxie is no longer made, having ended its run with the 1974 model. Thankfully the dominance of the Ford Motor Company continues to this day.

Just as Ford continues to develop classic American cars, Cambridge Classic Ford is committed to continuing to develop our relationship with our neighbors. We invite you to come down to the dealership so you can have a classic Ford experience and say hello to your neighbors.

Ford Beats GM in Heavy-Duty Pickup Truck Sales in 2012

Ford Super Duty

If you hadn’t heard the word from PickupTrucks.com, Cambridge Classic Ford is proud to say it’s true: Ford defeated both GM and Ram in heavy-duty pickup truck sales. Topping 119,338 heavy-duty pickups compared to GM’s 111,555 and Ram’s much lower 77,583 trucks sold.

This is a great victory.  Customers who buy heavy-duty pickup trucks tend to be very loyal customers. You don’t really hear many truck-crazy guys talking about how they couldn’t care less between the truck brands… you hear them argue and defend their brand of choice! This goes to show that Ford is really showing its strength by attracting the biggest following.  This following is one that is likely to stick around for years to come and continue to support Ford.

So, this isn’t really just a one-year victory, it’s a sign of Ford dominance in the market, which is a sign in itself of Ford’s unbeatable quality and care for its customers. If you haven’t yet experienced Ford, you really should. You may never want to choose another brand again!

Ford Finds Charging Stations for Drivers with MyFord Mobile

2013 Ford Fusion

Drivers of Ford’s all-new plug-in hybrids, have no fear! Ford has teamed up with PlugShare, an aggregator of public vehicle charging stations, to bring you up-to-date information about where you can find charging stations to fill up your battery and be on your way again. No more driving and hoping you can find a station before you run out of charge.

As a newly-available feature of Ford’s smartphone app MyFord Mobile, this useful new station finder will be compatible with the new Ford Fusion Energi and C-MAX Energi plug-in hybrid vehicles. These vehicles can achieve a jaw-dropping EPA-estimated range of 620 miles on one full tank of gas and one full charge. That’s insanely good. And most people don’t even realize that the majority of these charging stations are completely free to the public. Kind of makes you want to switch over and go hybrid today, doesn’t it?
