The Ford Mustang has done it again: for the sixth consecutive year, it has earned the Vincentric Best Value in America Award for Sports Cars, showing that no, it really doesn’t intend to ever step down from the top.

The Best Value in America Awards, as you may have gathered from the name, are annual awards handed out by the Vincentric research firm, which specializes in ownership cost analysis. The company ranks vehicles in their respective segments based on several key costs of ownership, including depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs.

Vincentric’s data found that the Mustang’s total cost of ownership over a five year period was 4% below the expected amount, thanks to the lowest maintenance and fuel costs in its class. That’s about $4,000 cheaper than its closest competitor—but you don’t even have to wait that long to save money, as the Mustang is already one of the most affordable sports cars on the market right now! Ford Creates 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang to Honor Car’s Lasting Popularity

The Ford Mustang burst onto the scene back in 1964—the Blue Oval sold the first ever Mustang to Capt. Stanley Tucker in April of that year—immediately earned a reputation as America’s favorite sports car, and has now defended that reputation for a whole half-century. In honor of that achievement, as well as the car’s lasting popularity with Ford enthusiasts and muscle car fans in general, Ford has designed the 50 Year Limited Edition 2015 Ford Mustang GT fastback.

Ford announced the creation of the exclusive Mustang at the New York International Auto Show, where they also have the new Mustang on display atop the Empire State Building. “When Mustang was approved for development more than 50 years ago, I don’t think anyone imagined it would spawn such a dedicated base of fans around the world and still be in production today” executive chairman Bill Ford said. “We are thrilled to be here in New York—where Mustang was first shown to the public at the 1964 World’s Fair—to re-create that historic event for today’s Mustang enthusiasts.”

So what, you may ask, makes this exclusive Mustang so special? First of all, the 50 Year Limited Edition is based on the all-new 2015 Mustang GT fastback, but it comes standard with basically every available Mustang option. In fact, you only have two choices to make when ordering your 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang: color and transmission. And when it comes to color, you only have two options: Wimbledon White (the same color as Capt. Tucker’s original Mustang) and Kona Blue. Both colors are exclusive to the 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang.

This ultra-special Mustang will be available this fall. But in honor of the Mustang’s inaugural year, there will only be 1,964 units of this special beast made—so come see us at Cambridge Classic Ford to see about ordering your very own 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang today!
