Enjoy Cambridge events this weekend!

Have you ever had one of those days or weekends where you know that you want to get out and do something fun, but are not really sure what that would be? We at Cambridge Classic Ford are here to help!

There are always great Cambridge events going on and we have a list of 3 going on this weekend for you to check out. The list of events covers Friday and Saturday.

Tomorrow, Friday the 29th, is the Cambridge Main Street Farmers Market. Are you looking for good locally grown produce or amazing locally made crafts? Then this farmers market is the place for you to be! It is from 9am until 1 pm on East 8th Street in historic downtown by the Guernsey County Courthouse.

There are two events for you to choose from on Saturday the 30th or you can go to both! From 3:00pm until 4:30pm you can go on a tour of historic downtown Cambridge called the Forgotten Places & Spaces Walking Tour. The theme of the tour is different for the different dates throughout the year. Admission is $20, but it goes to a great cause to help restore our city.

Also on Saturday the 30th is the Rock the Block party. This is along historic Wheeling Avenue. Out on the sidewalks will be music and artists, and then all of the participating merchants doors will be marked with painted chairs. This will be going on from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.

Zanesville-area residents should check out the library’s summer reading programs, especially if you have kids. Library programs are free and tons of fun, and they encourage reading! Throughout the summer the Zanesville Museum of Art will also host part of the Ohio Annual Exhibition, a competitive, juried art competition open to all Ohio artists.

History buffs will love the Lorena Civil War Reenactment and Encampment, which will take place at the end of July in Zane’s Landing Park, and crafts fans well as the various pottery shows and festivals taking place in the middle of July.

Zanesville is one of the most creative places around, and it’s not just our many art shows and exhibits—there are events like the Tiny House Project, where a group gets together to convert a small shed into a working house with plumbing. The Zanesville community theater is also putting on a musical called The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
