Every year, four cars are chosen as the winners of the SEMA Awards for Hottest Car, Hottest Sport Compact, Hottest Truck, and Hottest 4×4 SUV. Every year, Ford enters the contest for the hottest car and hottest truck, and every year, Ford wins at least one.
This year, just as the last, Ford even managed to win two: the Mustang took home the Hottest Car award and the F-150 won Hottest Truck. While the Mustang was proud to get its second consecutive award, the F-150 nearly overshadowed the achievement by earning its fourth—the best-selling truck has always won the award since the inception of the Awards in 2010.
The SEMA Awards are granted to vehicles that are the best-suited for accessorizing and that showcase the year’s coolest products. Consumers can expect that the winners of this year will have greater and more available specialty products for accessorizing than any of their competitors.
