2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty Deliver Best-in-Class Towing and Payload

Ford refuses to rest on its laurels when it comes to its best-selling line of pickups, as the F-Series line continues to outperform the competition year end and year out.

The latest high point for the lineup can be found in the 2013 Ford F-Series Super Duty, which was recently rated as having the best-in-class towing and payload.

“Super Duty pickups and chassis cabs are the segment benchmarks, chosen by tradesmen more than any other heavy-duty truck to get the job done,” said Raj Nair, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. “To help our customers continue to become more productive and efficient, we’ve increased our towing and payload capability yet again.”

The Super Duty is delivers a towing capacity 500 pounds greater than its nearest competitor, at 18,500 pounds.  The payload numbers are equally impressive, as the Super Duty boasts 7,260 pound payload capacity.

Ford knows this means drivers will be able to move more than ever and have greatly improved the 2013 Ford F-Series brakes.

“We’ve really improved brake feel,” said Michael Watkins, brake system engineer. “There’s refined modulation in the pedal – you really feel the stopping power. With a full load of cargo, drivers will notice strong, confidence-inspiring brakes.”
